Attributes: Genetically similar to Canis Lupus, but possessing leathery wings. Folklore attributes human intelligence, but subject shows no more intelligence than a normal wolf. Subject's coat consists of two layers, fur seems fire resistent. Species has adapted well to extreme temperatures. Subject has spent a great deal of captive time sleeping, which has increased or decreased the difficulty of certain tests. Subject's skin hardness measures above 10 on the Mohs scale, requiring the use of specialized equipment. Front paws appear to be vestigial hands.

Behavioral note: Subject has a penchant for territorial displays near delicate electronic instrumentation.
